GARRISON SAVANNAH will return to Central Queensland by popular demand due to the overwhelming and increasing success of his progeny in the region in the recent past weeks.

In addition to a swag of recent winners, GARRISON SAVANNAH almost secured the Capricornia Sales Classic double on May 5th, with the commanding win of Bonny the Viper in the $135,000 Two Year Old Classic, and Savannah Dawn running 2nd by a half head in the 3 Year Old Championship to the very smart galloper, River Lad.

Leading all the way from the outside alley, Bonny the Viper (pictured, right) claimed her 4th straight win, taking her stakes to over $113,000. Buyers responded at the 2011 Capricorn Yearling Sale the next day, paying $20,000 for a GARRISON SAVANNAH colt from Iriana Star.

Garrison Savannah is a half-brother to dual Gr1-winning sire SAVABEEL (ZABEEL - SAVANNAH SUCCESS) who landed both the Gr1 Cox Plate & Gr1 Spring Champion Stakes as a 3YO and who currently stands at NZ's Waikato Stud at a 2010 fee of $38,000+GST. Their dam SAVANNAH SUCCESS was a multiple Gr1 winner (who notched 8 victories, 7 of those at stakes-level including the Gr1 New Zealand Oaks & Gr1 Ansett Australia Stakes). This blue hen daughter of Gr3 winning Semipalatinsk mare Al Mater went on from the track to deliver the goods as a producer with 5 winning offspring including multiple Gr1-winning sire Savabeel & Gr1-placed 5-time winner Arlington. SAVABEEL himself has already proven himself as a sire. Of his two crops of racing age he has sired 39 individual winners including 4 individual stakes winners: Gr2 winner My Emotion, stakes-winning 2YO Kudakulari and stakes winners Warrentherooster and Queen Sabeel. He has also sired Gr1 VRC Oaks place-getter Savsbelle. It is an exciting prospect for Queensland breeders to have access to such potent bloodlines, at a fraction of the cost, through his brother Garrison Savannah, who certainly has the potential to carry on the success of sire and of Savabeel.
