Afleet (CAN) - Adarling (CAN) by Alleged
Stallion Profile
AFLEETAFFAIR defeated Champion racehorse and sire, HONOUR AND GLORY in the Santa Anita San Vicente Stakes G3. He also defeated CAVONNIER, who won the San Anita Derby G1 and ran 2nd in the Kentucky Derby G1, and he was 3rd favourite for the Kentucky Derby before his withdrawal from the race due to Travel Sickness during transportion.
He has an impeccable pedigree: his sire, AFLEET is the exceptional son of Champion Sire of Sires, MR PROSPECTOR. MR PROSPECTOR line stallions have proven to cross beautifully with our Austalian bred mares, and undoubtably, the three best sprinting horsesin Australia at this present time, WEEKEND HUSSLER, TAKEOVER TARGET, and APACHE CAT are by MR PROSPECTOR Sires.
It sounds cliché, but it is true that Afleetaffair has few runners on the ground, and from those few, he still has consistent, honest performers, and city winners.
His progeny are good types with natural athleticism and congenial natures. We believe his value as a sire has not yet reached its potential, and that he is a true asset to breeders in our region, having proved he can produce winners at city level from limited numbers on the ground in a sport that is notable for being a “numbers game”.
He is certainly worth careful consideration, as most of his progeny race in strong provincial and city class and are highly competitive there.
Race Career
At 2 years, AFLEETAFFAIR won 3 out of 4 starts, including the Hollywood Jim Hill L. S.He defeated Champion racehorse and sire, HONOUR AND GLORY in the Santa Anita San Vicente Stakes G3.
